A Foraged Poem

Erasure Poem #62, acrylic & gel pen on paper, sketchbooks 2023, © N Nazir

the naming of my [death]
the parenthesis of my [sex]
the blab of art,
of hurrahs and jokes,

*Don’t ask me what this poem’s about, I couldn’t tell you. It’s an exercise in automatic poem-making. No doubt any poem/art reveals something about its creator, so possibly this one means I’m a little disturbed or disturbing.

*Text source was from A Primer for Poets & Readers of Poetry by Gregory Orr, but I’ve no idea what page as I painted over it.
