Come into my cave,
said the Bat to the Cat.
We could hang awhile.
I’d prefer a moonlight walk
said Cat, thanks anyway.
But later she returned,
stalked his den
and watched him
sleeping.

For what is a bat if not a winged mouse? Very clever Cat. I like how this went from cute to sinister.

It is a winged mouse, indeed! Thank you for your lovely comment, D. Avery 🙂

Ah yes, the nature of life. Birds fly, fish swim, and cats? Who knows what they are thinking? Well done, Sunra.

Thanks so much, Bill 🙂 Yes, I read recently that scientists did a study some time ago to check whether cats recognise their names when you call them. It turns out they do but they don’t respond because they just don’t care, unlike dogs. Which I find hilarious.
And indeed, birds also swim and fish fly. Isn’t nature simply marvellous?
